Principal's Message

Welcome to Olympia High School

Christy GorbergTitan Families! This is your principal, Christy Gorberg, with your weekly update.

Course Requests- This week our student services team met with all current 9th, 10th and 11th grade students to review the courses being offered for the 2022-2023 school year and the course request process.  The materials shared with students are available on the school website under the student services tab.  Students should review the materials and complete their course request sheet by next week in preparation for their one on one meeting with their guidance counselor.

New arrival and dismissal procedures- We will be implementing some new safety measures on campus during arrival and dismissal. On Friday, January 21 we will begin a car decal system for car riders. If you drop-off and/or pick-up a student at Olympia you will need to register your vehicle and pick-up a rearview mirror hang tag. For those who have an email on file with the school, you will receive the registration link directly in the email version of this call, otherwise you will need to go to the front page of our website to find the link. The link will take you to the registration form for your vehicle if you plan to drop-off or pick-up your student. The registration will be connected to your student’s school ID number. Once the form is submitted, you will be given a rearview mirror hang tag which indicates to school administration and our School Resource Officers that you are authorized to be on our campus to pick-up or drop-off your student. We will provide an opportunity for anyone still without a hang tag following our distribution of decals to complete a paper registration form while in the carline prior to Friday, January 28 in which at this time vehicles will no longer be allowed on campus at arrival or dismissal until the registration has been completed. We encourage you to complete the form as soon as possible.  Please know that the safety of students and staff is our top priority which is why we are implementing this new procedure. Thank you for your continued support.
