Principal's Message

Dear Titan Families,

Homecoming Week at Olympia High School has been a tremendous success. The enthusiasm and school spirit displayed by our students and staffulty throughout the week have been truly inspiring. From themed dress-up days to the Titan Tromp, our campus was filled with energy, the next edition. We also celebrated Senior Night with our Girls Volleyball Team. It was a special moment to honor the leadership and dedication of our senior athletes. Their commitment to excellence both on and off the court continues to make us proud. Adding a fun twist to the week, the Principal’s Duck Hunt has brought smiles and excitement across campus. Throughout Homecoming Week, rubber ducks have been hidden in various locations for students to discover. It has sparked friendly competition, with students eagerly searching for the elusive green alien ducks. Those lucky enough to find one received a special reward from me. It’s been such a joy to see their reactions. These moments of connection and celebration are what make Homecoming Week so memorable and meaningful.

Our new Titan teachers have already begun building strong relationships with students, demonstrating genuine care, enthusiasm, and a commitment to student success. Whether through engaging classroom instruction, active participation in campus events, or simply being present and approachable, they are quickly becoming trusted adults on campus. Their positive energy and fresh perspectives are enriching our school culture and reinforcing the values that make Olympia a place where students feel seen, supported, and inspired

While we have enjoyed the celebrations, we remain focused on academics. It is still early in the semester, and students are laying the foundation for a successful year. Progress Monitoring Assessments (PMAs) are approaching, and these assessments provide valuable insight into student learning and instructional planning. I encourage all students to prepare thoughtfully and reach out to their teachers for support.

Thank you for your continued partnership in supporting our students. Let us keep the momentum going and continue to #TitanUp.

One of Olympia’s cherished Homecoming traditions is the crowning of Mr. and Ms. Titan, an honor voted on by the students. This year, the titles were awarded to Mr. and Ms. Parm, both long-standing and beloved educators. Mrs. Parm, who has been teaching AP World History at Olympia for four years, brings 31 years of experience to the classroom. Mr. Parm, a teacher of AP Research/Seminar and AP Literature, has been with Olympia since it opened and has taught for 28 years. Mr. and Ms.Titan represent the best of Olympia. Students know these teachers are one of a kind, and this gives the students a way to recognize the best of the best.
