Titan Families,
The second half of October was a powerful reminder of what makes Olympia such a special place. Our students led with heart, purpose, and pride, and I am grateful for the energy they brought to campus.
Senior Night was a meaningful celebration of our Titan athletes and their families. It marked the final home football game of the season, and the support from our students and staff made the night unforgettable. Toga Day added to the excitement, and the fall pep rally brought great energy and school spirit.
Our Titan spirit and morning pep rally was on full display as we were featured on a local television network as the game of the week. It was a proud moment for Olympia and a great opportunity to showcase the talent and enthusiasm of our students to the broader community.
Pink Out brought our campus together in a visible show of support for breast cancer awareness. Red Ribbon Week followed with student-centered activities that encouraged healthy choices and opened the door for important conversations.
SGA did an outstanding job with D3. From planning to practice, they created experiences that were engaging, thoughtful, and full of Titan pride. Their leadership continues to set the tone for what student voice looks like at Olympia.
Our students presented the Pop Tab Program and shared that we have collected more than five thousand pop tops for Ronald McDonald House Charities. This is a great example of service in action and a reminder that small efforts can lead to meaningful impact.
I want to recognize our Quiz Bowl and Debate Teams for their continued success. Their dedication and hard work are noticed and appreciated. Thank you National Honor Society who made our first Trunk or Treat a safe and festive event for families to enjoy. It was a wonderful way to give back to our community and get into the fall mood..
November is here and the momentum is strong. We also launched our Thanksgiving Food Drive. I encourage everyone to participate. This is an opportunity to support families in our community and live out the values we talk about every day.
Let us keep it going.

Pink Out Day was a powerful show of support for breast cancer awareness. Students, teachers, and staff filled the halls with pink shirts, ribbons, and decorations to honor survivors and raise awareness about the fight against breast cancer. The event brought the school community together in unity and compassion, reminding everyone of the importance of early detection and support for those affected. |
Red Ribbon Week is a week dedicated to promoting drug-free living and making positive choices. Students and staff are encouraged to dress up from October 27 through the 31 and follow the different themes for each day. |
Starting on November 3, Olympia will be hosting a Thanksgiving Food Drive through the 14. Students can bring in goods based on where their 4th-period class is located. At the end of the drive, the top 3 classes that have the most amount of goods will win a prize! The goods will go to Titan families who need extra help this holiday season. |
On Friday, October 24, we hosted an exciting morning pep rally at Olympia that was featured live on FOX 35. The broadcast spotlighted performances from our band, dance team, and cheerleaders. The news crew also interviewed some of our Titan Football Players, our FFA Officers, and 6th Man Officers. We showed a strong sense of community and enthusiasm, making it a memorable morning that showcased the school’s spirit to all of Central Florida. |
SGA attended the first District 3 meeting of this school year this past weekend. Students went from workshop to workshop, sharing and gaining insights on school spirit, donation drives, and other common things shared across all student governments. Our SGA had 2 workshops, one about promotion and the other about raising school spirit. To conclude the meeting, there was one giant pep rally where students from all schools participated in a series of games before everyone was dismissed. |
As our Pop Tab Drive concluded, we were able to raise almost 5,000 tabs to donate to the Ronald McDonald House. There, they take the tabs and recycle them and the money goes to fund their operations and support families staying there. Thank you to those who donated! |
Our football team took on West Orange for their senior night and last home game of the season. Seniors from Football, Cheer, Titanettes, Band, Color Guard, and Athletic Trainers were all honored and celebrated at a ceremony before the game. Seniors in the student section showed their Titan spirit by wearing their Togas and the underclassmen wore teal. |
One of Olympia’s Senior traditions is Toga Day. Seniors come to school wearing their togas all day and then wear them to the football game later in the evening. The seniors this year went all out in bringing back this tradition. |
Our Fall Pep Rally was full of energy and school spirit as students came together to celebrate the Fall sports. The gym was packed with cheering Titans, performances from the cheer team and band, and exciting games between each grade level. The rally built excitement for upcoming sports events and reminded everyone of the pride and unity that make Olympia’s community so strong. |
Monday afternoon, Olympia’s Quiz Bowl team hosted Winter Park, the only other undefeated Quiz Bowl team, and West Orange for matches that would determine bragging rights and the number one ranking in the district. (Quiz Bowl is like team-based Jeopardy.)
The coach, Mr. Pearl said, “The match against Winter Park was a doozy that took years off my life and added even more gray to my hair.” It went down to the final question, but Olympia emerged victorious and now stands at 6-0 in the league. We still have several more matches to play, including against Trinity and Timber Creek, but for now, we can proudly brag about beating Winter Park and being the only undefeated team left in the league.
Our superstars this year are Oliver Lund and Minh-Quan Nguyen, but we have lots of amazing players on the team (listed below are those who played this match). Congratulate them and ask them how they did individually if you see them!

NHS held its first successful Trunk or Treat at Olympia on October 22. Thirty-nine cars were decorated by 40+ members. Students from Windy Ridge and Palm Lake Elementary Schools and Chain of Lakes participated in the event. A scary and fun time was had by all! |
The Titan Speech & Debate team took home the First Place large school trophy for the 2nd tournament in a row this weekend. We had 57 Olympia students compete against 23 other high schools, and they took home the win! |
