Titan Families,
At Olympia High School, our mission is to ensure high levels of learning for all students through strong instruction, meaningful relationships, and a culture built on pride and respect. We have several opportunities to celebrate the exceptional work our students are doing across our campus both in and out of the classroom.
Our AP Physics students continue to engage in rigorous, hands-on learning that strengthens problem solving skills and deepens understanding, and our math students shine brightly at competition showing their abilities in advanced problem solving and teamwork.
Our DECA chapter continues to demonstrate leadership, professionalism, and innovation. These students represent the strength of our Career and Technical Education programs and the opportunities our school provides for students to develop real world skills. While our Speech and Debate Team continues to excel through articulate communication, critical thinking, and a strong commitment to competition and growth. They represent Olympia with maturity and confidence, and we are proud of their success.
We are also proud to honor our senior athletes during soccer and basketball senior nights. These students have shown commitment, resilience, and sportsmanship throughout their time as Titans. Their leadership has contributed greatly to our school culture, and we enjoyed celebrating them and their families. We are equally proud of our Cheer Team who completed their own competitive season. Their energy, leadership, and pride play an important role in building a positive and spirited school environment for all students.
Olympia is a place where students are known, supported, and challenged. Families can expect a safe, welcoming, and structured learning environment with a commitment to students first in every decision we make. Every day, we work to ensure that each student feels valued and prepared to succeed.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support.

Students from our school proudly represented the district at the DECA District Competition at Dr. Phillips High School on Saturday, January 10th, showcasing their skills in business, marketing, finance, hospitality and leadership. Through competitive events, role-plays, and presentations, students applied classroom knowledge to real-world business scenarios while demonstrating professionalism, teamwork, and confidence. Their participation reflects a strong commitment to career readiness, critical thinking, and excellence beyond the classroom. |

Olympia recently hosted a math regional tournament with 400 competitors from 20 different schools. Hosting an event of this scale is a massive undertaking, and it was organized almost entirely through the pure effort and dedication of our student members in the Mu Alpha Theta Club.
On top of running the event, our competitors performed exceptionally well. Students from Mrs. Hartwell’s Geometry classes, Ms. Davis and Ms. Shah’s Algebra 2 classes, as well as our Precalculus and Calculus teams, have worked relentlessly for this competition.
- Our Algebra 2 and Calculus students have sacrificed their lunch periods every day for the last two weeks to train with me.
- Our Geometry students have attended after-school sessions every Thursday since they were introduced to the team by Mrs. Hartwell.
The Results: Olympia took 3rd Place Overall (across Calculus, Precalculus, Geometry, and Algebra 2).
Most notably, for the first time in seven years, we surpassed our academic rival, Orlando Science School, a program that trains students starting in elementary school. It has been a personal goal of mine to reach this level since I started, and our students finally made it happen.
If you see any of the students listed below in your classes, please congratulate them. Their effort is truly unmatched.

In Mr. Greenwald's Advanced Placement Physics courses, the students are performing a rotational dynamics laboratory. Their goal is to understand how net torque affects angular acceleration of a rotating object with constant rotational inertia. |
Grad Bash for Olympia Seniors will be Friday, April 24 from 6:00 PM-3:00 AM at Universal Orlando.
Grad Bash is an optional experience for graduating seniors. Universal opens both Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure exclusively for ticketed seniors for this special event.
Tickets are $135 to pay for admission to two theme parks and bus transportation. (There is an additional transaction fee of $5.05, making the total amount $140.05)
Please note, Universal does not offer any discounts for Passholders or Employees to this event.
Students cannot drive themselves or be dropped off at Universal by parents. Students must arrive with the school and leave with the school on our buses. Students cannot arrive late, and they cannot leave early. If students miss the bus they forfeit their ticket with no refund.
Seniors may only purchase a ticket if they have a cumulative unweighted GPA of 2.0 or higher and meet all attendance and discipline eligibility requirements. Refunds cannot be provided if they become ineligible before the event. If students are ineligible to attend, they will not be issued a ticket for entry, even if you purchase one online. This is a senior-only event.
Tickets MUST be purchased before March 9. Tickets are non-refundable, so make sure you have the date available. It is a student holiday on the OCPS Calendar.
Once sales end, the school will purchase the tickets from Universal and keep them until the day of the event. Eligible students will receive their physical ticket when they board the bus.
