World Heart Day-  This event has been postponed. We will send out communication when a new date has been selected.

Homecoming Week- Next week is Homecoming week! We will have themed dress up days each day. The annual Homecoming Banner and Court Parade will be Friday at the football field at 5 pm. All are invited to come watch. Spectators will be asked to leave after the parade and re-enter for the football game.

Homecoming Dance- Students who have purchased their tickets for the dance on SchoolPay can begin picking up their tickets during lunch on Monday. Students must buy their tickets on SchoolPay by Wednesday 9/28, and tickets must be picked up next week during lunch or after school in room 427. Students who have received an approved guest waiver notification email should also purchase a ticket with cash next week. Please make sure your student is qualified to attend the dance prior to purchasing a ticket.

The event will be held at SeaWorld Orlando, Saturday from 8 PM to midnight. The Dress Code is semi-formal, and comfortable shoes strongly encouraged. This event will include food & drinks, entertainment, parking, and more.  All students and their guests must show a photo ID and ticket upon entry.  No students or guests will be admitted to the park after 8:45 PM, and please be prepared to pick up students by 11:45pm or earlier.

Student IDs- Students have now been issued a current student ID, along with an Olympia logo lanyard and ID holder. Students are expected to wear their ID or have it on them at all times. Any student that did not yet receive theirs can go to the media center before school, after school or during lunches to get one. If a student loses their ID, there will be a $5 fee for a replacement.

Testing - Please be aware that there will be a modified bell schedule for both Monday and Tuesday of next week for PMA and STAR testing. Also, select students will be emailed about FSA Reading, Algebra 1, and Geometry retakes that will be taking place on Thursday and Friday of next week. Select students will be emailed for Edgenuity Blitz as well.

New Counselor- We welcome our new counselor, Ms. Christine Krajnyak.  She will be taking over Dr. Cepeda’s alpha block, so he can focus on Graduation Coaching.  She will take over the A-C block, as well as the B and C seniors.
