A NEWSLETTER FOR THE OLYMPIA SCHOOL COMMUNITY

Principal's Message

Dear Titans,

As we settle into the rhythm of a new school year, I want to take a moment to reflect on the energy and purpose that is already filling our halls. From the first bell to the final dismissal, I have seen students stepping up, teachers leaning in, and our entire community embracing the spirit of Titan Up.

This year, we are not just aiming for excellence; we are defining it. With the launch of our revised Proud Titan criteria, we have set clear expectations that celebrate character, commitment, and community. These standards are not only about eligibility for events such as Homecoming; they are about building a culture where every Titan understands what it means to represent Olympia with pride.

I am especially proud of the collaboration between our Student Government Association and staff in shaping these criteria. It is a powerful example of what happens when student voice meets adult partnership. Together, we create systems that are fair, inspiring, and rooted in our shared values.

As we move forward, I encourage every student to reflect on what it means to be a Proud Titan. Show up. Speak kindly. Support one another. Whether you are on the field, in the classroom, or leading a club, your actions matter, and they shape the legacy we are building together.

Let us keep the momentum going. Let us continue lifting each other up. And let us continue to Titan Up, every day, in every way.

With Titan Pride,

Christy Gorberg

Titan Traditions

This year, Olympia started a new tradition. The SGA officers invited the teachers to come for a Crackle Barrel breakfast and learn about all the Titan Traditions at Olympia. Some of these traditions include wearing Olympia gear every Friday, inviting teachers to tailgate before sporting events, hosting a pep rally every quarter, and hosting a Homecoming parade in the heart of downtown Windermere. The highlight of the day was walking the red carpet and meeting our mascots.

As we welcome new young Titans to their new campus, the band and cheerleaders performed while the SGA officers gave the new Freshmen a tour of the school. Freshmen were given a Class of 2029 t-shirt and got to meet the mascots. They finished their guided tours in the cafeteria, where they were allowed to choose their new clubs and sign up.

Larissa Gibson: 12th Grade- Volleyball

Entering her senior year, Larissa Gibson has been a middle blocker for Olympia’s varsity volleyball team for four years. Having won districts three times in a row, she is excited for the upcoming season and is determined to win a fourth straight district title. Joining volleyball allowed Larissa to build a community in a sport that she loves.

Noble Davis: 11th Grade- Football

Noble Davis has been playing football for eleven years, three of those on varsity. As the quarterback, he is extremely excited to beat all opposition, but is looking forward to crushing our rivals the most, Dr. Phillips.

Noble aims to help his team not only win all of their games, but to make a far push into the playoffs. Football gave Noble a group of tight friends and connections at Olympia that he will cherish forever.
