Important Reminders

Student Safety - Once students are on campus, they are required to stay on campus unless signed out by a parent or guardian. This is to ensure that all of our Olympia students are safe and supervised at all times.

Student IDs- Beginning March 2, students will be required to display their student IDs upon entering the school campus. Currently, they are required to have them at all times while on campus to ensure they are in the right locations when their class has a substitute, attend school events, and participate in other related school activities.

Cell Phones & iPads/tablets & Headphones - From first to last bell, students may not use cell phones, iPads, tablets, smartwatches, earbuds, or headphones. Per OCPS policy, all devices must be silenced and stored in a backpack or purse for the entire school day, including during class changes and lunch. If a student is found using a device, they will be required to turn it in. After the first offense, progressive discipline will follow. For more information, visit www.ocps.net to view the Code of Student Conduct.

Student Services: The "Finish Strong" Formula

As we approach the end of the 3rd Quarter, Student Services is calling on all Titans to apply the Finish Strong Formula: Focus + Effort + Accountability.

Success in high school is a marathon, not a sprint. Whether your student is a Freshman or a Senior, this quarter's performance is critical:

  • Focus on the Future: For 9th, 10th, and 11th graders, 3rd-quarter grades are the "heart" of your cumulative GPA. For Seniors, colleges and universities will specifically review Senior Second Semester grades and attendance before final enrollment.

  • The Effort Gap: Now is the time to check Skyward for any missing assignments. Consistent effort now prevents the stress of playing "catch-up" during the 4th Quarter.

  • Accountability & Attendance: Attendance is a direct reflection of a student's commitment. Excessive absences can negatively impact a student's standing and their eligibility for certain school honors and college acceptances.

  • Consistency Matters: Remember, academic achievement and good citizenship are the primary pillars for future opportunities.
