Student Safety - Once students are on campus, they are required to stay on campus unless signed out by a parent or guardian. This is to ensure that all of our Olympia students are safe and supervised at all times.

Student IDs- Students are required to display their student IDs upon entering the school campus, entering classrooms with a substitute, and for admittance to school events and other related school activities.

Cell Phones & iPads/tablets & Headphones - From first to last bell, students may not use cell phones, iPads, tablets, smartwatches, earbuds, or headphones. Per OCPS policy, all devices must be silenced and stored in a backpack or purse for the entire school day, including during class changes and lunch. If a student is found using a device, they will be required to turn it in. After the first offense, progressive discipline will follow. 🎓 CCRC: Preparing for Senior Check-Out (End of April)

Important Reminder: Seniors will not receive their "Golden Ticket" (required to pick up graduation tickets) until their full Senior Check-Out is cleared.

Please note that Senior Check-Out includes multiple departments; however, to ensure a smooth process for the CCRC portion, you must complete these four specific components immediately:

  • Post-Secondary Plan: Ensure your plan is finalized (originally completed in November 2025).

  • FAFSA Completion: Upload a snippet or image of your completed FAFSA into Xello.
  • If not completed, visit: www.studentaid.gov

  • Florida Financial Aid (Bright Futures): Complete your FFAA application to be eligible for state scholarships.
  • Apply here: Florida Student Financial Aid

  • Xello Exit Ticket: Log into your Xello Dashboard, scroll down on the right side, and complete the "OCPS Senior Exit Ticket 2025-2026."

🗓️ Need Help? Extended Office Hours
If you need help navigating Xello, uploading your FAFSA, or finishing your Bright Futures application, I am holding extended hours in the CCRC next week:

Staying Focused When Motivation Fades

As the finish line comes into view, "Senioritis" can feel like a heavy weight. It is completely normal for your motivation to dip, but how you finish this chapter sets the tone for your next one. Whether you are headed to college, the military, or the workforce, staying disciplined now prevents unnecessary stress later.
Here are a few strategies to help you push through the "Spring Slump":

  • Prioritize the "Must-Dos": If you're feeling overwhelmed, focus on your graduation requirements first. Use a planner or a simple checklist to visualize your progress.

  • The 5-Minute Rule: If you’re procrastinating, tell yourself you’ll work on a task for just five minutes. Often, starting is the hardest part; once you begin, it’s much easier to keep going.

  • Balance Work and Reward: Give yourself permission to enjoy senior milestones (prom, grad bash, sports), but use them as rewards for hitting your academic goals.

  • Check Your Credits: Now is the time to verify you have all your volunteer hours and concordant scores. Don't let a small detail hold up your diploma.

  • Reach Out: If the "fade" feels like more than just a lack of motivation—if you’re feeling anxious or burnt out—please come see us in Student Services. We are here to help you cross that stage.
