Graduation- Monday, May 18th at 9 am will be a mandatory senior pancake breakfast in the cafeteria. Seniors who have not yet turned in laptops or completed senior checkout for cap and gowns can do so at this time.

Mandatory Graduation Rehearsal will be Tuesday, May 19th at the Kia Center from 9-11 am. Seniors should plan on parking in the ThreatLocker Parking Garage by 8:30 am for check-in. All students will receive 12 free tickets at the end of rehearsal.

Seniors get free parking in the ThreatLocker Parking Garage. Seniors are strongly encouraged to drive with their families so guests can park for free. Families and guests who do not drive with a senior in the vehicle will have to pay for the 520 W Pine St. Garage.

Seniors will check-in on the ground floor of the ThreatLocker Parking Garage. Families will use the Garage Bridge to enter the arena.

Ticketed guests may begin entering the arena at 1:00 PM. Anyone who needs a seat will need a ticket, regardless of age. Any infant held the entire ceremony does not need a ticket. Seating is first-come, first-serve, with no saving seats. This includes accommodated seating.

Graduating seniors are prohibited from bringing phones with them into the arena. We strongly encourage them to leave phones with family so they can get them for pictures after graduation. CCRC: The 2026 Summer Roadmap

The College & Career Readiness Center (CCRC) is here to help you navigate the "Summer Slide" by turning it into a "Summer Climb." Students can access Xello via their OCPS LaunchPad all summer long to keep their planning on track.

Rising Freshmen (Class of 2030)
  • Community Involvement: Start your high school career with a spirit of service. Finding a local non-profit to volunteer with for at least 10 hours this summer builds your resume early and helps you meet new friends.
  • Xello Goal: Log into Xello and complete the "Matchmaker" assessment. This tool uses your interests to suggest career clusters, giving you a head start on choosing electives that actually excite you for your first year at Olympia.
Rising Sophomores & Juniors (Classes of 2029 & 2028)
  • The "Initial List": Use the summer to identify 5–10 colleges, trade schools, or certificate programs that align with your career goals. Knowing their admission requirements now means no surprises during your busy junior and senior years.
  • Xello Goal: Use the "Explore Schools" feature to save your favorite institutions. Xello provides "Scattergram" data that shows how your current GPA and test scores compare to past applicants, helping you build a realistic and balanced list.
Rising Seniors (Class of 2027)
  • The "Beat the Heat" Essay Challenge: Draft your Common App personal statement now. Having a solid first draft finished before August will significantly reduce your stress levels when the fall application season begins.
  • Xello Goal: Dive into the Scholarship Search tool. By completing your "Scholarship Profile" in Xello, the platform will automatically match you with local, state, and national awards. You can also use Xello to track your transcripts and letters of recommendation requests, ensuring you're ready to hit "submit" on day one of senior year.
Parent Action Item: Ask your student to show you their Xello Dashboard on LaunchPad this week. It’s a fantastic way to see their saved careers, personality style results, and the progress they are making toward their post-graduation goals!

Student Services: Preparing for the Transition

As we approach the end of the semester, Student Services is focused on ensuring every Titan transitions into summer with a clear mind and a sense of purpose. While summer is a time for rest, it is also a critical window for personal development.

We encourage parents to sit down with their students and discuss The 3 Questions Every Student Should Ask Before Summer:

1. "What is one personal skill I want to 'level up' before August?"
Growth doesn’t have to be academic to be valuable. Whether it’s learning to manage a bank account, mastering a new culinary skill, or practicing time-management techniques, identifying one "power skill" gives students a sense of agency. When students return in the fall with a new competency, they carry a higher level of self-confidence into their classrooms.

2. "How will I intentionally recharge my mental battery?"
There is a significant difference between "distraction" (scrolling on a phone) and "restoration" (activities that actually lower cortisol). We want students to identify what truly recharges them—be it physical activity, a creative hobby, or nature. Setting a "Rest Goal" helps prevent the burnout that often hits by mid-October.

3. "Who is one person I can seek out for mentorship or connection?"
Summer is an ideal time for students to expand their circle. This could be reaching out to a professional in a field they admire for a 15-minute "coffee chat," or simply reconnecting with a family member who offers a positive perspective. Social wellness is a pillar of academic success; helping our Titans build their village now ensures they have support systems in place for the upcoming year.
