Clash of the Titans: With one week left to go in the final competition of the year, the freshmen and seniors are battling back and forth for final bragging rights and the warm breakfast treat awaiting the winner. The juniors are quickly catching up by getting to class on time and could pull off a come from behind victory. The sophomores still have hope of upsetting the other classes if they can log enough Beanstack minutes while getting to class on time without having their cell phones confiscated. Let’s go Titans!
Stakeholder survey: The OCPS Stakeholder Survey is happening now and will end Tuesday, April 15, 2025. Your input is valuable to us, so we ask that you please answer 2 questions about your satisfaction with our school as well as providing your opinions on ThoughtExchange. It will take approximately two minutes, and is available in multiple languages. It can be completed using any electronic device with internet access by clicking on the anonymous link, https://bit.ly/FamiliesSpring25.
Course Requests: If your student needs to make adjustments to their course requests for next year, they can do that using the Google Form that was sent to all students on Canvas. Updates must be made on the student school Google Account, and must be submitted by next Tuesday, April 15th. Remember, these are requests, and NOT your schedule for next year. All requests are filled based on student need, course availability, and seniority.
Olympia HS 10% Design Community Meeting: Please join School Board Member Anne Douglas, staff, students and families for the Olympia High School 10% Design Community Meeting to discuss proposed comprehensive renovations to the campus on Wednesday, April 30 from 6 to 7 p.m. in the auditorium. This is your first opportunity to learn more about the proposed improvements to our school as well as let our facilities team know your thoughts.
Theater Production: Olympia Performing Arts and Titan Theatre present LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS. Showtimes are April 17,18 and 19 at 7pm. Tickets are general admission and are $15 each. Come support secondary school theatre by joining us in the audience for what promises to be a great night of musical theatre. However, whatever you do...please...DON'T FEED THE PLANTS!!!
SGA and Class Elections: Next Thursday Olympia will hold SGA and Class Elections for the 2025-2026 school year. Elections will be held through 9th grade English classes and 10th and 11th Social Studies classes. Candidates will introduce themselves and their campaign platform every day leading up to the elections on Titan TV. Good luck to all of our future Titan leaders.
Uber Reads - Reminder! The Media Center's Uber Reads program is ongoing and ready to bring the library to the classroom. We've already fulfilled numerous book delivery requests, making reading even more convenient. Students can easily request books through our online form at tinyurl.com/OHSTitansRead and have them delivered directly to their classrooms. Encourage your student to take advantage of this fantastic service and keep reading!
Let’s Read, OCPS!: Titans, your dedication is paying off! We've logged over 41,000 minutes this week alone, with our freshmen contributing a remarkable 33,000 minutes! This has propelled us to the #1 high school in the county in the Let's Read, OCPS! challenge, a position we've held for several weeks. Keep up the amazing work and log those reading minutes in Beanstack. Let's maintain our top spot!
School Library Month - School Library Month is in full swing! Join us for the ongoing reading challenge and April Egg Hunt, and get ready for 'Make It, Take It' week next week!
