Advanced Placement (AP)

Advanced Placement AP

Olympia High School offers over 30 Advanced Placement (AP) courses. From Art 3-D to Chemistry, students have the opportunity to dig deeper into subjects and earn college credit  in high school.

The Advanced Placement (AP) Program is a cooperative educational endeavor with the College Board of New York. It provides students with the opportunity to earn college credit while in high school. The AP Program offers rigorous academic college level courses requiring extra time for reading and analysis on the part of the student. AP Standardized Examinations are given in May of each year. Scores of 1-5 are reported to colleges of your choice. When enrolling, visit your counselor regarding AP courses you may wish to take.

Why Take Advanced Placement?
